Terms of Sale — ParallaxTV
The short version: Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It works on up to five TVs in your home. If you are not happy with it, email us within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full, no questions asked.
1. The app
ParallaxTV is free to download and use. It plays movies and shows from a media server you run yourself (Plex, Jellyfin, Emby or Kodi); it does not include any content, and you are responsible for having the right to watch what is on your server. The app needs an LG TV running webOS and a media server it can reach on your network.
2. What you buy with Pro
- A license that unlocks the Pro features described on the ParallaxTV page and in the app’s Upgrade screen.
- It covers up to five TVs in one household. You can move it from one TV to another at any time: on the old TV, open Settings › License › Deactivate this TV.
- It is for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not share your license key outside your household or resell it.
- The license includes the updates we release to the app for as long as we make them, including new Pro features added later.
3. Price and payment
The price is shown on the purchase page before you pay. It is charged once; there is no subscription and nothing renews. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. Any sales tax or VAT that applies is shown at checkout.
4. Delivery
Pro is delivered immediately: the TV that started the purchase unlocks within a few seconds of payment, and your license key is emailed to the address you paid with, so you can add your other TVs. If either does not arrive, email us and we will sort it out.
5. Refunds
- Within 14 days of purchase: email support@freeradicalsgroup.com from the address you paid with (or with your license key), and we will refund the full price to your original payment method. No reason is needed.
- After 14 days: refunds are at our discretion, and always where the law where you live requires one, for example if Pro does not work as described and we cannot fix it.
- A refund ends the license: Pro turns off on every TV that uses it.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this 14-day refund applies even though Pro is digital content delivered immediately, so you do not lose any right to change your mind by using it straight away.
6. The license service
An activated TV checks its license with parallaxtv.app from time to time, and keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks. Pro’s optional multi-TV sync also uses the service. We run it with care, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. If we ever stop running it, we will make reasonable efforts to release an app update that keeps Pro working on TVs that were already activated.
7. When a license can be ended
We may revoke a license that was bought fraudulently, charged back, or shared or resold in breach of section 2. Otherwise a license stays valid; we will not end it just because a new version of Pro comes out.
8. Warranty and liability
ParallaxTV is provided as it is, and we do our best to make it work well. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Pro. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. A change never takes away a license you have already bought or shortens the refund period for a purchase you have already made.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
